Come and join us and play Squash & Racketball at Purley Sports Club.

The Squash section at Purley Sports Club is one of the liveliest and successful in Surrey.

The Club has five top quality courts including two glass-back and extensive facilities including an impressive bar, supported by catering, offering bar snacks and meals.

The Club has six men’s teams in the Surrey County Leagues, including two teams in Div.1. There are also Junior teams, with busy and popular Club mix-in sessions at the weekends. There are professional coaches for individual and group coaching.

Racketball, played on the squash courts, has become extremely popular of the last few years, and regular mix-in sessions are held every week for all standards.

Squash at Purley Sports Club
We are pleased to welcome Clare Wright to Purley Sports Club as our Head of Squash Coaching. She is a professional level 3 squash coach and a level 1 racketball coach. She has been coaching adults and children since 2009 at different clubs, so brings a wealth of experience to the role.
Adult Group Coaching

Whether you’ve never played before and just fancy trying something new, or you’ve been playing for a while and just want to up your game, there’s a class here for you at Purley Sports Club. Squash is a great game to learn – it’s a great cardiovascular workout, improves flexibility and is an activity you can enjoy all year round! Come along to a free trial session and if you’d like to continue, we’ll take it from there.

Beginners – Ladies
Ideal for players new to the game who want to learn the basics – grip, swing, rules and shots.

Junior Group Coaching

Squash is a great game for juniors – they develop co-ordination, racket and social skills whilst improving speed and agility. Not that they’ll notice, they’ll be having too much fun with new friends. Bring your child along to a free trial session and if they’d like to continue, we’ll take it from there.

Pay & Play Squash & Racketball

Anyone can play squash at Purley Sports Club without a Club membership, under our pay & play scheme. This is also available to members of Purley Sports Club who don’t have a squash/racketball or tennis membership.

You can use all five of our squash courts, including the glass-backed courts (courts 3 and 4). All sessions on our squash courts are for 45 minutes. You can use the Club’s facilities on the day – change and shower in the changing rooms and enjoy a drink in the bar or outside on our patio afterwards.

You can either use the courts as a pay & play member, or a registered pay & play member. Pay & play members can book the courts three days in advance, by calling the office or coming into the Club. As a registered pay & play member, you can book the courts four days in advance using our online booking system or the Club app. The cost to become a registered pay & play member is £15 per year.

When you arrive to play on the day, pay at reception or the bar.

Court charges – weekdays 7am-6pm, £12; after 6pm & weekends, £14.

Squash at Purley Sports Club
At some point you might like to consider squash/racketball membership of the Club, which starts at £120 per year. With squash/racketball membership, the court charges are – Monday to Friday 7am-6pm, £4.50; after 6pm & weekends, £5.50. You also have access to club nights which cost £3 a session.
